This rare pewter vase was designed by the legendary Swedish silversmith and designer Sylvia Stave for C.G. Hallberg around 1934 (“H8”). At just 23, Stave became the artistic director of C.G. Hallberg, a position she held for nearly a decade—this vase was created during that remarkable period.
The piece is a beautiful embodiment of her minimalist and functional design language. The spherical body is given a playful twist with its vertical, shell-shaped handles; the body is also distinctly engraved with Stave’s initials. It remains in good condition with light age-related wear.
Dimension: Diameter 16cm at the middle; Height 13.5cm
